VVIP Ft Idris Elba + Phyno - Selfie Remix

VVIP is Ghana Rap/Hiplife veterans Reggie Rockstone and remaining V.I.P. members, Prodigal and Zeal .

They released their debut single ‘Selfie’ in May 2014 and now they have raised their star game by introducing Hollywood and British TV/Film actor Idris Elba on the remix along with Nigerian rap artist, Phyno.

The group has confirmed that they have filmed a music video for the track which will be released soon.

Julz - Shishi

Uk based Afro hip hop and Afropop artist Julz dropped the video to his single ‘Shishi’. First released in March, the audio has been receiving recognition with promoters, shows and afro hip hop sites and radio stations where the single was aired. This video goes a long way to establish his presence as an up coming power house in the rising Afro music genre.

His delivery, flow, funny word plays and mastery of rhymes makes him stand out from the crowd. It is no doubt this video is going to put him to the media eye and garner some massive attention.

P-Square have finally released the front cover and track list to their forthcoming album; Double Trouble which is due to be released this Friday. 

Africa on the Square Celebrates Talent (ACT) 

On 11 October, we’re hosting the first ever ‘Africa on the Square’, celebrating traditions and cultures from and inspired by the African Continent.

As well as an African market, food stalls and lots of interactive activities, we are searching for aspiring, local talent to perform on stage in Trafalgar Square as part of Africa on the Square Celebrates Talent (ACT).

Requirements

Performers must be:

  • of African descent or have an African inspired performance
  • be 25 or under
  • able to dance, sing or provide something unique

Audition process

  • Online submission: submit a link of your performance (video or audio) to: events@london.gov.uk - ASAP
  • Live audition: up to 50 acts will be selected to attend live auditions in front of a panel on Saturday 13 September
  • Selection: up to 8 acts will be chosen to compete for a place in the ACT showcase

Successful acts will be notified by the 9 September if selected to attend the live auditions.
