bantu:

October is a very exciting month for us as it marks the move to the main stage which will be our new ‘home’ at Freedom Park. The move is not without its challenges but we are up to the task. This month is also Felabration month and as a Felabration partner, we will be celebrating Fela (and Thomas Sankara) in our own unique way during the show. Joining me and my band BANTU in this momentous month are: Highlife Maestro ETUBOM REX WILLIAMS, R&B-Soul singer PRAIZ, Yoruba rapper GAISE, Songstress SIMI & musical virtuosos EKO BRASS BAND. Thankfully we have plenty of room on stage for them all…And for you too, so that you dance. SPREAD THE WORD!

Come and celebrate African cultures in Trafalgar Square on Saturday 11 October.

A new event for 2014, Africa on the Square features live music from Dele Sosimi’s Afrobeat Experience, Aar Maanta and many more, as well as performances from African drummers, acrobats and dancers, and a talent show for young people.

There’ll also be an African fashion show, food stalls, a market selling Africa themed goods and products and free family workshops where you can try everything from batik to mosaic making.

Africa on the Square is organised by the Mayor of London for Black History Month 2014.

Make sure you check out Africa on the Square with live performances from Moelogo, Kwamz & Flava plus African dancers and more at 2:30pm plus a catwalk show from Africa  Fashion Week London.

Many of you probably know the original track by Bunny Mack called “Let Me Love You”  but now Moelogo has added his own twist to the single and made it his own whilst also featuring Bunny Mack.
